Joining Savills in 2018, Shanna-Kay Smith is responsible for the creation of space plans, design development, finishes, lighting concepts, and working drawings for commercial real estate spaces.
She also participates in all areas of design, furniture specification and installation, and extensive move coordination. Working out of the Toronto office, Shanna-Kay manages contract administration, close-out documentation, and overall project organization. Additionally, she maintains strong customer and industry relations with existing clients, contractors and sales representatives with her amiable, genuine and trustworthy personality.
Shanna manages our design library and meets with vendors to maintain database, interviews our furniture, paint, flooring, laminate, acoustic furniture and lighting vendors.
Prior to joining Savills, Shanna-Kay spent two years as an executive director for Open Architecture Collaborative of Toronto. Before that, she worked on freelance projects and served as an associate designer for W.T.C. Designs Inc. for eight years. Altogether, Shanna-Kay’s broad experience has given her perspective from the small- business side of the industry as well as the large corporate side, invaluable assets when designing and managing projects for a multitude of companies across many industries.
Shanna-Kay is a member of the Open Architecture Collaborative Toronto Chapter, a nonprofit organization that connects architectural and design professionals, students and community leaders across the Greater Toronto Area and is currently working towards her Interior Design NCIDQ accreditation.
